SpiTrex Orthopedics Acquires Watershed Idea Foundry 

In a significant move to bolster its capabilities in the MedTech arena, SpiTrex Orthopedics, a prominent player in global medical device contract manufacturing, has acquired Watershed Idea Foundry, renowned experts in titanium additive manufacturing (AM).  

This strategic acquisition is set to reinforce SpiTrex’s commitment to innovative services, especially in 3D printing, as Watershed transitions to its new identity: SpiTrex 3D. With over two decades of expertise in 3D printing and medical device design, Watershed’s assimilation into SpiTrex will deliver unparalleled value to the existing and prospective clientele. 

Nick Cordaro, the newly appointed President of SpiTrex 3D, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, highlighting SpiTrex’s forward-thinking vision and the opportunities arising from combining strengths with other SpiTrex sites. Matt Burba, SpiTrex Orthopedic’s CEO, emphasized the acquisition’s significance, stating that adding Watershed’s extensive Design for Additive Manufacturing experience to their portfolio solidifies SpiTrex’s standing in the Spine, Trauma, and Extremity market.
